Obituary for William "Bill" C. Iverson

EDGERTON--- William C. “Bill” Iverson, age 60, of Edgerton, died peacefully Sunday, March 3, 2019, at home following a brave battle with cancer. He was born in Janesville on Dec. 27, 1958, the 7th child of Martin and Joan (Bishop) Iverson. Bill was well known as an avid fisherman and hunter. He spent every spare minute in his vegetable garden, canning and processing all of the items he harvested. Bill was employed by a variety of companies over the years, including Lear Corporation until the plant closed, building wind generators, but had been working as a valued employee for Helena until his death. He will be greatly missed by his family and valued friends.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Iverson; 3 sisters: Niki (Greg) Johnson, Barb (Mark) Cornford, and Shawn Neidecker; 4 brothers: Gary, Pat, John, and Jeff Iverson; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 4 siblings: Corwin “Jim” (Ginger) Iverson, Joan (Mike) Sather, Thomas Iverson and Marcy (Dale) Doerr.

A Visitation to Celebrate Bill’s Life will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 315 Lord St. (Hwy 51) Edgerton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mercy Hospice Care in his name.
