Obituary for Grant Lynn Monday

MILTON—Grant Lynn Monday, age 65, of Milton, died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, at his home. He was born in Janesville on Oct. 25, 1954, the son of the late John and Barbara (Sexton) Monday and proudly served in the US Army. He was a welder for GOEX Corporation in Janesville and loved to go hunting, fishing, mushroom gathering, and watching movies. He also enjoyed delivering fish dinners for Deb’s Squeeze Inn on Friday nights.

He is survived by his 3 children: Candy Ann Monday of Omaha, NE, Brenda Chrissy Vinokurov of Gatlinburg, TN, and Michael Lance (Faithy) Johnson of Knoxville, TN; 2 grandchildren, Riley Vinokurov and Marilyn Cernaz; 5 siblings: Pamela (Burl) French of Dandridge, TN, Michael Monday of Sebring, FL, Charlie Monday of Clarksville, MO, Lisa (Daniel) Teeter of Edgerton, and Beth Camp of Colorado Springs, CO; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-brother, Calvin Hanson.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 315 Lord St. (Hwy 51) Edgerton. Rev. Jerry Amstutz will preside and full military honors will follow. Visitation will take place on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME.
